Job Description:
Position: Head Production - NPD
Location: Ahmedabad
Experience: 22 - 25 years
Industries: Pharma
Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement new product development strategies aligned with company goals.
- Project Portfolio Management: Oversee the new product development project portfolio, prioritizing projects and allocating resources.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Product Conceptualization: Identify and develop new product ideas, assessing market potential and feasibility.
- Product Development Planning: Create and manage detailed product development plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with new product development.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as FDA, EU, and local regulations.
- Technology Transfer: Oversee the transfer of new products from R&D to commercial manufacturing.
- Launch Planning: Develop and execute launch plans, ensuring successful market introduction.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage new product development budgets, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs.
- Talent Development: Develop and mentor team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration among teams, departments, and external partners.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance metrics, measuring new product development success.
- Innovation: Encourage innovation, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Production Planning: Plan and coordinate production schedules, batch sizes, and resource allocation.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve production processes, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards.
- Team Management: Lead, train, and develop the production team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and quality departments to ensure timely supply of materials.
- Audits and Inspections: Prepare for and host regulatory audits, customer audits, and internal inspections.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation, implementing new technologies and processes to enhance production capabilities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Quality, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Reporting and Analytics: Provide production metrics, reports, and analytics to support business decisions.
- Safety and Environmental: Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to environmental regulations and company policie
