Job Description:

Position:        QA Executive

Location:        Daman

Experience:    3 - 4 Years

Industries:     Packaging

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform online quality checks: Monitor the quality of Flexible packaging and Plastics Processing PET extrusion and Thermoforming product during the production process, conduct tests, analyse data, and provide feedback to the production team.
  • Conduct inspections as guided by HOD: Inspect finished products, raw materials, and packaging materials to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
  • Documentation and certifications: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to ISO, BRCGS, FSMS, SEDEX, and other relevant certifications. Ensure compliance with certification requirements.
  • Shift duty: Work in rotating shifts to provide continuous quality assurance support throughout the production process.
  • Testing and analysis: Perform testing procedures according to standardized protocols and SOPs. Safely handle laboratory chemicals and equipment.
  • Certificate of Analysis (COA): Generate COAs for approved lots and batches to validate product quality and compliance.
  • Equipment operation: Operate laboratory instruments and equipment effectively, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
  • Compliance with best practices: Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and adhere to the best practices within the designated work area.
  • Customer complaint management: Attend to customer complaints regarding product quality, analyse the complaints, and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA:-CAPA preparation, Conduct RCA for product rejections, identify the root causes, and develop and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
  • 5S implementation: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment by following the 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
  • Sample preparation: Prepare samples for testing and analysis, ensuring proper labelling and documentation.
  • Process and equipment knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of PET rigid film production processes and the equipment used, enabling effective quality control and troubleshooting.
  • Follow guidelines and instructions: Follow instructions from superiors and collaborate    with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with quality standards.

 

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of polymers, chemicals, and manufacturing processes, with a focus on PET rigid film production.
  • Analytical mind-set and attention to detail to evaluate product quality, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey quality-related information and collaborate with team members.
  • Proficiency in using quality control tools and techniques, including statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with relevant certifications such as ISO, BRCGS, FSMS, Sedex, preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a shift duty environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

 

Required Qualification: - B.Sc - Chemistry/B.Tech - Plastics/CIPET
