Job Description:

Position:          Process Safety Engineer - Team Leader -SHE

Location:         Jhagadia, Gujarat.

Experience:     8+ YEARS

Industries:       Chemical (MNC)

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that process engineering standards and procedures are met to make the existing process safe for operation.
• Working collectively and collaboratively with project engineers to provide loss prevention and risk management support for projects including PIP
• Champion a culture of Process Safety excellence at the company through evaluating & mitigating the risks associated with manufacturing processes and helping to develop safe operating protocols.
• Manage and conduct the PHA using techniques such as HAZOP, What-if, data collection for Quantitative Assessment (QRA) tools, as well as track and assist with any resulting recommendations implementation
• Perform risk analysis and coach others on the use of risk analysis techniques like Risk Assessment Screenings for Management of Change (MOC) and other optimisation projects
• assisting Incident Investigation teams in investigating and classifying process safety incidents, as well as providing support in the development of process tools and action plans to close identified Process Safety gaps
• Provide process safety inputs in Onsite & Offsite Emergency Plan
• Collaborate with teams to discover and implement long-term process improvement efforts to make process safer
• Organizing and delivering effective and efficient Process Safety Trainings to the manpower at shopfloor (company & third party manpower)
• Perform audit of process safety management systems and execute risk mitigation corrective actions.

Required Skills

• Must be excellent in written and spoken English; net savvy and adept at computer skills.
• experience in a chemical manufacturing unit with atleast 5 years of experience is in Process Safety.  Preferably worked in MAH unit

Required Qualification: - BE/ BTech - Chemical / Mechanical Engg + Certified PSM Course
