Job Description:

Position:     Production Chemist

Location:     Vapi

Experience:  3 - 4  Year

Industries:   Chemical

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day chemical production activities as per production plans and SOPs.
• Monitor and control chemical processes, batch operations, temperature, pressure, pH, flow and other critical parameters.
• Operate and monitor PLC/SCADA systems for process control, equipment monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Ensure accurate batch preparation, charging of raw materials and adherence to process specifications.
• Monitor production equipment such as reactors, agitators, pumps, filters, dryers and storage systems.
• Maintain production records, batch sheets, logbooks and process reports.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Maintenance, EHS and Stores for smooth production operations.
• Identify process deviations and take corrective actions to minimize rejection, downtime and production losses.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, SOPs, GMP/ISO requirements and chemical handling practices.
• Monitor yield, productivity, consumption of raw materials and process efficiency.
• Support process improvement, troubleshooting and optimization activities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe handling, storage and transfer of chemicals.

 Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing and batch processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC & SCADA systems.
• Understanding of process parameters, instrumentation and control systems.
• Knowledge of chemical reactions, raw materials and process equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and production documentation.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industrial safety and chemical handling procedures.
• Ability to work in shifts.

Required Qualification: - B.Sc/M.Sc - Chemistry

Salary :- Upto 4.00 LPA
