Job Description:

Position:      Asst. Manager - Accounts & Finance

Location:       Gandhinagar

Experience:    6 - 8 Years

Industries:     Chemical

Responsibilities:        

  • Accounting & Books of Accounts: Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions, maintain books as per company policies and applicable accounting standards, review purchase/sales/expense entries, JVs, debit/credit notes, conduct ledger scrutiny and reconciliations, and manage month-end/year-end closing.
  • Plant Accounting & Cost Control: Monitor raw materials, utilities, manpower, maintenance, freight, packing and other manufacturing costs; prepare product/plant-wise cost information; analyse actuals against budgets/standards and identify cost variances and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • MIS & Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS covering sales, expenses, receivables, payables, inventory, cash flow, manufacturing costs and profitability; highlight trends and deviations to management.
  • Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Assist in annual budgets and financial plans, monitor actuals against budgets, prepare monthly variance analysis, coordinate departmental budgets and track corrective actions.
  • Receivables & Collections: Monitor customer ageing and outstanding, coordinate collections, highlight overdue accounts/credit risks, account receipts and deductions, and perform customer ledger reconciliations.
  • Payables & Vendor Accounting: Verify invoices against POs, GRNs, approvals and supporting documents; ensure accurate vendor accounting, payment scheduling, reconciliations and controls against duplicate/incorrect payments.
  • Inventory & Stores Accounting: Account for and reconcile raw materials, packing materials, finished goods, stores, spares and other inventory; support physical verification, investigate differences and monitor slow/non-moving and obsolete inventory.
  • GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely GST, TDS and other applicable compliances, reconcile GST input credits, ensure proper TDS deduction/deposit and coordinate with Corporate Finance, consultants and auditors.
  • Banking & Cash Flow: Monitor bank transactions and reconciliations, support cash-flow planning, monitor payments, collections and working capital, and maintain controls over payments and petty cash.
  • Fixed Assets & Capex: Maintain fixed asset records/registers, ensure timely and correct capitalization, support physical verification and monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate with internal/statutory and other auditors, provide schedules and reconciliations, close audit observations and strengthen financial processes and controls.
  • Systems & Process Discipline: Ensure use of approved ERP/accounting systems, improve financial data accuracy, reduce manual records, support digitization and ensure maker-checker and authorization controls.
  • Corporate Office Coordination: Coordinate with Corporate Accounts & Finance at Kolkata and ensure timely submission of plant financial data, reconciliations, schedules and reports in line with common accounting policies and reporting formats.

Required Qualification:-  M.Com / MBA - Finance / CA (Inter)
