Job Description:

Position:          Asst. Manager - Production

Location:         Umbergaon

Experience:      5 - 8 Years

Industries:       Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and scheduling daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
  • Monitor production output to ensure achievement of production targets.
  • Supervise shop floor operations and ensure smooth workflow across production lines.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Purchase departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, work instructions, and customer specifications.
  • Monitor machine utilization and production efficiency; identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure proper manpower allocation and optimize workforce productivity.
  • Maintain production reports, MIS, shift reports, and production records.
  • Monitor inventory of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods in coordination with Stores.
  • Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental (EHS) regulations.
  • Conduct operator training and skill development programs.
  • Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards where applicable.
  • Support cost reduction and waste elimination initiatives.
