Job Description:
Position: Manager - QA/QC and R&D
Location: Ahmedabad
Experience: 14 -16 Years
Industries: Chemical
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement comprehensive quality processes including QA, QC, and Quality Systems to meet Six Sigma quality levels.
- Develop and standardize test methods, quality plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all products, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Lead and manage the R&D, QC, and Application Laboratories.
- Review, upgrade, and implement Total Quality Assurance Systems including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), corrective actions, complaint handling, and application stability testing. RCA & CAPA for all quality issues (incoming, inprocess, finished goods and customer complaints
- Schedule and conduct regular internal audits as per compliance requirements and applicable quality standards.
- Ensure timely maintenance and calibration of all QC lab equipment and availability of critical spare parts.
- Oversee and guide lab chemists and assistants to ensure effective operations.
- Lead efforts to improve product and packaging quality.
- Ensure 100% compliance with quality standards through systematic checks and timely corrective actions.
- Plan and execute skill development and performance appraisals for the quality team.
- Train QA/QC teams on adherence to SOPs and quality systems.
- Maintain accurate and timely quality records both in physical form and in Oracle ERP system.
- Apply statistical tools such as 7 QC tools, control charts, Cpk & Ppk analysis for continuous quality improvement.
- Manage R&D lab operations including infrastructure development, resource planning, new product application testing, and stability studies.
- Drive optimization and development of new product variants based on market and customer needs.
