Job Description:

Position:        Sr. Executive/Asst. Manager - Purchase

Location:          Daman

Experience:      8 - 10 Years

Industries:       Packaging

Responsibilities:        

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best cost, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Preparation of Cost Estimating,Comparisons, Prepare and process Purchase Orders or Service Orders in compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and conduct vendor performance evaluations and understand by maintaining standard terms and conditions, supplier selection/de-selection, evaluation and rationalization of supply chain solutions including vendor managed inventory, supplier consignments and safety  stock
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and stores teams to ensure material availability. With timely procurement of raw materials, components, and services as per production/maintenance plans. Also, to ensure compliance with requirement, technical specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to avoid shortages or excess and stablishing procurement order streams to match supply with demand on a JIT basis.
  • Handle documentation such as RFQs, purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices. Also, ensure compliance with ISO/quality standards and company procurement procedures. Should Take Ownership to timely payment by coordinating with Accounts department.
  • Should have good knowledge of Capex , Engineering and heavy /light machinery spare part purchases and cost working Ideas. Cost effective purchases and knowledge of calculations to procure
  • Packing materials like Corrugated Boxes , Poly liner bags , Bopp Tapes , Stretch /Shrink rolls , Labels etc .
  • Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders if appropriate.
  • Should have strong Negotiation skill with best cost working

Required Skills:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOMs.
  • Should have the knowledge of R&D’s / Development in in industrial applications.
  • Should be able to handle ISO standard audits.
  • Knowledge of local and international sources.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
  • Good knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Required Qualification:- B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical/Electrical

Salary :- Upto 9.00 LPA
