Job Description:

Position:         Safety Manager

Location:        Jhagadia near by ankleshwar

Experience:     7 - 10 Years

Industries:      Chemical

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage Process Safety Management (PSM) systems such as PHA, MOC, PSSR, OSEP, and CSM at site.
  • Identify gaps in process safety control barriers using HAZOP, SIL, and QRA studies and ensure closure of recommendations.
  • Develop and execute annual safety improvement plans and initiatives.
  • Conduct Training Need Identification (TNI) and Training Need Assessment (TNA) for employees.
  • Deliver regular classroom and on-site safety training sessions.
  • Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and HIRA for non-routine and high-risk activities.
  • Prepare and revise Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all EHS-related activities.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance of safe working procedures across all plant operations.
  • Organize mock drills and ensure effective implementation of On-Site Emergency Plans (OSEP).
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain chemical master lists and MSDS for all materials.
  • Conduct periodic safety audits and ensure closure of observations and recommendations.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain accident and incident records, reports, and statistical analysis.
  • Conduct daily plant safety inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and process deviations.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety awareness programs for employees and contract workers.
  • Ensure effective emergency response and evacuation during incidents.
  • Implement and monitor the Work Permit System and maintain proper documentation.
  • Inspect and maintain fire detection and fire protection systems for operational readiness.
  • Ensure safe storage, handling, and monitoring of hazardous materials.
  • Manage ISO documentation and ensure implementation of EHS SOPs.
  • Conduct regular safety training programs, fire drills, and compliance training.
  • Ensure proper usage, selection, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations applicable to the plant.
  • Monitor inspection and testing of lifting equipment, pressure vessels, and statutory systems.
  • Conduct workplace monitoring as per regulatory requirements.
  • Implement safety recommendations from regulatory authorities and audits.
  • Provide first aid support and arrange first aid training programs.

Required Skills :-

  • Good communication skill & record keeping.
  • Good interpersonal skill.
  • Practical/Good knowledge on various problem- solving Tools and its usage.

Required Qualification: - B.Sc/M.SC/B.E/B.Tech - Chemical+ ADIS/PDIS

Salary :- Upto 13.50 LPA
