Job Description:

Position:       Asst. Manager - Maintenance 

Location:       Vapi

Experience:    5- 7 Years

Industries:     Chemical

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Management
  • Plan, organize, and oversee all mechanical maintenance activities (preventive, predictive, and corrective).
  • Ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for critical equipment such as pumps, compressors, reactors, heat exchangers, and pipelines.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical Machinery, Electrical, DG, AHU, RO, ETP, Boiler, Chiller, Filling / Packing Machines. Basic knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, servo motors and drives.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Lead all maintenance and repair-related activities in the company, keeping in mind the roles of a repair manager
  • Attending Internal Documents & Statutory Audits, Team Handling
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, Cleaning and regulatoryrequirements.
  • In addition to the above-mentioned duties and job functions, any other assignments given by Management
  • Ensure continuous availability of plant & machinery and utilities required. Develop & implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all production lines, equipment & utilities.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Allocate manpower and resources effectively to meet maintenance targets. Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce breakdowns and maintenance costs.
  • Analyze equipment failure data and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to permit-to-work systems.
  • Participate in risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Budget & Cost Control
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs without compromising quality and safety.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory and vendor management.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Prepare reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment maintenance.
  • Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in chemical industries.

Required Qualification:- B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical
