Job Description:

Position:        Asst./Dy. Manager - Production

Location:       Vapi

Experience:    10 - 15 Years

Industries:     Pharma - API

Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning & Control
  • Execute production plans in line with monthly/weekly schedules.
  • Monitor batch progress and ensure adherence to timelines and yield targets.
  • Optimize manpower, equipment, and resources for efficient operations.
  • Coordinate with PPC/Management for any change in production priorities.
  • Batch Execution & Process Monitoring
  • Supervise end-to-end batch manufacturing activities.
  • Ensure critical process parameters are followed as per BMR/BPR.
  • Monitor yield, cycle time, and process efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Shop Floor Management
  • Lead shift operations and ensure proper manpower deployment.
  • Maintain discipline, productivity, and operational control on shop floor.
  • Ensure housekeeping, 5S, and audit readiness of production areas.
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, cGMP, and regulatoryrequirements.
  • Review and approve batch records, logbooks, and production documents.
  • Handle QMS systems (Deviation, CAPA, Change Control, OOS) within timelines.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure closure of observations.
  • Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams
  • Work closely with QA, QC, Engineering, EHS, and Stores for smooth operations.
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials, utilities, and equipment readiness.
  • Coordinate for in-process testing and validation activities.
  • Engineering & Maintenance Interface
  • Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance activities are executed with minimal impact on production.
  • Support equipment qualification, calibration, and shutdown activities.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement of equipment performance.
  • Team Management & Development
  • Supervise and guide executives, officers, and operators.
  • Conduct training on SOPs, GMP, safety, and process improvements.
  • Evaluate team performance and build second-line leadership.
  • Safety & EHS Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety practices and PPE usage.
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective/preventive measures.
  • Promote safe working culture on shop floor.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Improve yield, reduce cycle time, and minimize rework/rejection.
  • Support implementation of lean practices and efficiency

 

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of API/Pharma manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of batch processing, reactions, filtration, drying, etc.
  • Understanding of batch processing, reactions, filtration, drying, etc.
  • Knowledge of GMP / cGMP and regulatory expectations
  • Experience in handling QMS systems
  • Basic understanding of engineering systems and utilities

Required Qualification: -B.Sc/M.Sc/B.E/B.Tech - Chemical

 Salary :- Upto 14.00 LPA
