Job Description:
Position: EHS Manager
Location: Vapi
Experience: 10 - 12 Years
Industries: Pharma - API
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, Factory Act, GPCB, and Pollution Control Board requirements.
- Manage statutory approvals, hazardous waste disposal, and EHS documentation.
- Conduct risk assessments (HAZOP/HIRA), incident investigations, and implement CAPA.
- Handle GMP, regulatory, safety, and customer audits and ensure compliance.
- Implement and monitor work permit systems, PPE usage, fire safety, and chemical handling practices.
- Develop emergency response plans, conduct mock drills, and ensure plant emergency preparedness.
- Conduct EHS training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Monitor environmental, health, and safety performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure contractor safety compliance during maintenance and project activities.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, statutory records, compliance reports, and EHS documentation.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, Factory Act, GPCB, and Pollution Control Board compliance.
- Experience in API/Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in HAZOP, HIRA, risk assessment, incident investigation, and CAPA.
- Hands-on experience with hazardous waste management and chemical safety.
- Knowledge of GMP, regulatory inspections, and EHS audit requirements.
- Proficiency in work permit systems, PPE management, fire safety, and emergency response.
- Ability to conduct EHS training, safety awareness programs, and mock drills.
- Strong documentation, SOP preparation, and statutory compliance management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and EHS reporting/documentation systems.
Required Qualification: - B.E/B.Tech - Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Safety + ADIS/PDIS
