Job Description:

Position:       Engineer/Sr. Engineer - Maintenance

Location:       Hajipir - Kutch

Experience:   6 - 8 Years

Industries:    Chemical 

Responsibilities:        

  1. Maintenance Planning & Execution
  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Ensure minimum downtime of plant machinery and utilities.
  • Prepare maintenance schedules and allocate manpower effectively.
    2. Equipment Reliability
  • Monitor performance of critical equipment (reactors, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, etc.).
  • Implement reliability improvement programs (RCM, TPM).
  • Analyze failure trends and implement corrective actions.
    3. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical/electrical/instrumentation issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for major breakdowns.
  • Ensure quick restoration of plant operations.
    4. Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Follow permit-to-work (PTW), lockout-tagout (LOTO), and hazard identification procedures.
  • Support audits (internal, external, statutory).
    5. Team Management
  • Supervise and guide maintenance technicians and contractors.
  • Provide training and skill development for the team.
  • Ensure discipline and adherence to SOPs.
    6. Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Prepare and manage maintenance budgets.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Coordinate with procurement for spare parts and services.
    7. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports.
  • Update CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on maintenance KPIs.
    8. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for energy savings and process improvements.
  • Implement automation and modernization initiatives.
  • Participate in plant shutdown planning and execution.
