Job Description:

Position:         Lab Head

Location:        Vapi

Experience:    12 -14  Years

Industries:     Automobile

Responsibilities:        

• Supervise and manage all laboratory activities and testing procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain laboratory standards, procedures, and documentation.
• Conduct and oversee testing of raw materials, chemicals, coatings, and finished components.
• Ensure testing is performed according to industry standards and internal quality specifications.
• Validate test results and provide technical analysis.
• Work closely with the production and quality departments to investigate defects or failures.
• Maintain records for audits and regulatory inspections.
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Lead and train laboratory technicians and analysts.
• Assign testing tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Develop skill improvement programs for lab personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of test results, calibration reports, and chemical consumption.
• Prepare laboratory reports and communicate findings to management.
• Ensure traceability of testing data.

Required skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (press shop, welding, plating, etc.)
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Understanding of quality systems and safety standards
• Strong knowledge of chemical analysis and material testing techniques
• Experience with laboratory equipment and calibration procedures
• Understanding of quality standards (ISO, IATF, etc.)
• Good documentation and reporting skills

Required Qualification: - B.Sc - Chemistry 

Salary: - Upto 10.00 LPA
