Position:           Plant Head 

Location:          Umbergaon Near By Vapi

Experience:      15 - 20 Years

Industries:        Plastic

Responsibilities:

• Focusing on driving opportunities for improvement both within the operation and along the end to end value stream.
• Driving cells to increase Operational Excellence performance and practice levels against target.
• Promote, establish and embed the principles and tools of Operational Excellence.
• Deliver substantial savings and added value to the business to beat budget.
• Facilitate Operational Excellence management steering reviews and implementation plans.
• Checking status of implementation and development of action plans to close gaps.
• Sharing, challenging and developing best practice.
• Participate in Regional Improvement Leader Community Of Practice.
• Coordination of updating and translating Operational Excellence material.
• Assist in the education and coaching of selected individuals to Green Belt status.
• Assist in the education of all employees in 7 Step Problem Solving.
• Complete three major projects per year which deliver savings in the order of €400,000 and have no negative impact on Customer Service.
• Implementation of Business Process Reengineering projects across the business

Required Skills:

• You will be technical/process qualified or a professional employee with degrees or similar qualifications.
• You will have undertaken/are undertaking Operational Excellence potentially champion
• Education to achieve the status of Lean/ Six Sigma Black Belt.
• The person should be a disciplined leader who is respected and has a good working knowledge of Operational Excellence.
• Used to working within the boundaries of analysis, statistics and project management, the person should be skilled in change management.
• Remain updated on the latest Operational
• Prior experience in a operations line management role will be an advantage.
• Ability to progress to senior operations role.
