Job Description:

 Position:        Sr Engineer - Purchase

Location:        Ghatkopar - Mumbai

Experience:     5 - 8 Years

Industries:      Engineering

 

Responsibilities:   

  • Manage Purchase Requisitions and Procurement: Handle the end-to-end procurement of raw materials, components, and services in alignment with company requirements and production schedules.
  • ERP System Management: Utilize ERP systems effectively to manage purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, and generate accurate procurement reports.
  • Supplier Sourcing and Market Research: Conduct thorough market research and vendor analysis to identify cost-effective, high-quality, and reliable suppliers.
  • Material and Services Sourcing: Oversee sourcing activities to ensure timely availability of required materials, goods, and services while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Cost Analysis and Market Monitoring: Track market trends and perform cost analyses to uncover cost-saving opportunities and support strategic procurement decisions.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent quality and service levels.
  • Compliance and Ethical Standards: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, industry regulations, and ethical business practices.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including purchase documents, price lists, vendor agreements, and procurement reports.
  • Procurement Metrics and Reporting: Analyze procurement performance metrics, evaluate adherence to budget, and report findings to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Implement procurement-related risk mitigation strategies to handle potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Vendor Evaluation and Quality Assurance: Regularly evaluate vendor performance and product quality to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Contribute to annual budget planning and support ongoing cost control and reduction initiatives.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging procurement technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

 Required Skills:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, automation, or equipment manufacturing industries.

  • Familiarity with import/export documentation and procurement policies.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mind-set.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer knowledge like Excel, Word, Power point.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

 

Required Qualification: - Diploma/B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical/Electrical

Salary: - Upto 8.00 LPA
