Position:          QC Manager

Location:         Silvassa

Responsibilities:      

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures in accordance with ISO standards, API, ASTM, ASME, and other applicable codes.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of quality control inspectors and lab technicians.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and quality assessments of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Lead the analysis of product defects or process failures; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with the production team to reduce rework, scrap, and process variation.
• Manage documentation and reporting related to quality control including inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), MTCs (Mill Test Certificates), etc.
• Interface with clients and third-party inspectors during audits, certifications, and inspections.
• Provide training to QC personnel and production staff on quality systems and best practices.
• Oversee calibration and maintenance of testing and measuring equipment.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of steel grades, heat treatment, welding inspection, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods, and material standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Proficiency in using quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in NDT Level II or III, AWS-CWI, or similar is a plus.

Required Qualification:- Diploma/B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical
