Job Description:

Position:          QC Manager

Location:         Silvassa

Responsibilities:      

• Quality Management & Supervision: Develop, implement, and monitor quality control systems and procedures across all stages of wire production (drawing, annealing, galvanizing, stranding, etc.).

• Approve or reject raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods based on inspection and test results.
• Standards & Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards (IS/ISO/ASTM/EN, etc.).
• Maintain all required documentation for quality audits, certifications, and customer inspections.
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and certification bodies.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate the QC team (inspectors, lab technicians, quality engineers).
• Customer & Vendor Coordination:Address and resolve customer complaints related to product quality.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test data and quality trends to identify root causes of deviations.
• Prepare and present quality reports to management with recommendations for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen initiatives to improve process consistency and reduce rejections or rework.
• Develop SOPs, inspection plans, and quality control checklists to strengthen system efficiency.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of steel grades, heat treatment, welding inspection, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods, and material standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Proficiency in using quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in NDT Level II or III, AWS-CWI, or similar is a plus.

Required Qualification:- Diploma/B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical
