Job Description:

Position:          Sr. Engineer - Maintenance

Location:         Jaipur, Rajasthan 

Experience:     3 - 5 Years 

Industries:      Plastic

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, and ancillary equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical/electrical breakdowns and execute timely corrective actions.
  • Minimize machine downtime and production losses through proactive troubleshooting.
  • Equipment & Utilities Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance of compressors, chillers, cooling towers, dryers, and other plant utilities.
  • Ensure smooth operation of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Liaise with OEMs/vendors for technical support, AMC, and spares.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and fitters.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor progress for continuous workflow.
  • Conduct training sessions to upskill the maintenance team.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE and statutory regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Maintain documentation as per ISO/TPM/5S standards.
  • Spare Parts & Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and control inventory of critical spares and consumables.
  • Raise purchase requisitions and follow up with procurement for timely availability.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures and suggest improvements.
  • Participate in productivity enhancement projects such as OEE improvement, energy savings, and automation.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of plastic processing machinery (e.g., injection molding, extrusion).
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and PLC-based systems.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication and team management abilities.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools is a plus.
