Position:          Safety Officer

Location:         Sarigam

Responsibilities:

• Preparing Job safety Analysis (JSA) of Non-routine works Hot works (Welding, gas cutting, grinding), Confined Space entry, Hot work in Confined space.
• Preparation and revision of Safe Operating Procedures of all EHS activities like:
• Storage and safe handling of Hazardous Chemicals,
• Hydro jetting
• Contractor safety Management System
• liquid Nitrogen Unloading
• Scaffolding & Work at height
• Hazardous Communication
• Laboratory Safety
• Work permit system
• Use, types, inspection & maintenance of PPE
• Fire Fighting & OSEP
• To ensure safe working procedures are implemented
• Arrange for Mock drill and provide the training on On Site Emergency Plan & ensure all mock drill observations are compiled.
• Raise the requirements for fulfilling the compliance of GFR 1963 Sch XIX
• To ensure that all necessary safety procedures for controlling the risks are properly implemented before the work is started.
• Preparation of Chemical master list and MSDS master file for all Finish Goods, Raw materials, Catalysts Conduct Contractor Safety, Housekeeping and electrical, PSM audit once in every month for all plants and prepared recommendation for improvement to all action by party. Ensure all recommendations should complete.
• To investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and to determine how they might be prevented
• Accident Investigation, fault findings, implementation of CAPA
• Daily all plants round, identification of Unsafe Acts and Unsafe Conditions, implementation of CAPA and send the reports to action owners.
• To maintain the accident/incident statistics as per category and root cause analysis.
• Daily inspection of emergency preparedness of the plants
• To ensure safe working procedures are implemented
• Issuing Work Permit against the safe working conditions on daily basis
• To provide training to new induction employees and refresher training as and when required
• To Promote health and safety awareness among all employees
• To Develop, coordinate and/or conduct Safety training programs
• To prepare training material for various EHS training and get approved from Manager.
• Verification of the checklists related to the firefighting arrangements of the plant:
• MONTHLY INSPECTION CHECLIST OF FIRE EXTINGUISHER
• WEEKLY CHECKLIST OF SAFETY SHOWERS

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Safety Management System:
• Knowledge of working of ETP/ RO/ MEE operation
• Ability to do analysis of process failures & taking timely actions
• To work in a team to reduce down time of failures.
• Ability to foster good relations with people of the organization.
• Emergency Response, Work Permit System, Industrial Safety, Safety Management, Hazard
• Analysis, GMP, Chemical Engineering, Process Safety, IMS, Safety Audit, Safety Training,
• Industrial Hygiene, HAZOP, JSA.

Required Qualification:- B.Sc/B.E/B.Tech - Chemistry/Chemical + ADIS/PDIS

Salary :- Upto 4.00 LPA
