Position:          Process Manager

Location:         Jhagadia near by Ankleshwar

Experience:      10 - 15 Years

Responsibilities:

  • Engineering manager to set engineering procedures, practices, and codes and standards in various aspects of Process Design , Technical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledgeable of and performs standard discipline engineering activities on projects with minimal technical oversight
  • Demonstrated experience in process simulation and automation preferred
  • Apply basic chemical engineering principals of heat transfer, vapor-liquid equilibria, mass transfer and thermodynamics in process design
  • Conversant in relief calculation methodologies and industry codes and standards applicable to pressure relief design. Develop relief load narratives, relief load calculations and relief valve datasheets.
  • Perform design calculations using standard simulation programs / Softwares(Aspen , DWSIM, pipenet , Flaresim etc).
  • Proficient in the process design of equipment, including vessels, columns, heat exchangers and package process specifications for equipment and control valves.
  • Develop process engineering deliverables such as BFDs, PFDs, H&MBs, Equipment Datasheets, Utility. Summaries and other process deliverables required for the facility design.
  • Knowledgeable in alarm and trip setpoint rationale and process safety time calculations.
  • Develop and check Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), from preliminary drawings to issue for construction
  • Develop and check Line Designation Tables (line lists with process and mechanical design conditions captured)123 Perform and check hydraulic calculations – for pumps, compressors, control valves, and line sizing
  • Develop and check Design Pressure and Temperature Diagrams (DPDTs) including analyzing and determining piping systems design conditions
  • Participate in Plot Plan, 3D Model and P&ID Reviews
  • Participate in safety reviews (HAZID, HAZOP/ SIL, LOPA, HIRA), as well as reviewing compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Review deliverables from licensors, other disciplines, and suppliers during the execution of the project to ensure that process intent has been adequately incorporated into the facility design.
  • Basic / Concept knowledge of process safety.
  • Basic Concept of batch process chemistry , Batch time cycle optimization, process optimization, Key identification of Pain Areas & subsequently resolve the technical issues.

 

 Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience on Hydraulics, P&ID development, LDT preparation, Simulation, equipment, and instrument datasheets, Process description, DPDT, Control Narratives
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to the discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and other stake holders
  • Broad working knowledge of the principles and practices of executing projects.
  • knowledge of various software’s of design.
  • He must be Team Player & Trainer / Coach for his sub-ordinates.
