Job Description:
Position: Sr. Manager - Procurement
Location: Sanjan - Vapi
Experience: 7 - 9 Years
Industries: Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers capable of providing Raw Materials such as XLPE, Polymer Resins / Compounds, insulating compounds, shielding materials, etc., meeting required technical specifications.
- Contribute to creation of contracts, terms, and pricing agreements while ensuring high-quality standards and cost efficiency.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing suppliers while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
- Develop new Vendors, if need be, to align with the organization’s long term strategic objectives
- Deployment of material sourcing strategies to maximize the procurement value contribution.
- Technical Specifications and Compliance:
- Collaborate with the product design, engineering and production teams to understand technical requirements and specifications for various cable types.
- Ensure purchased materials comply with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality control measures.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to guarantee supplier adherence to specifications.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Coordinate closely with production planning to ensure timely delivery of materials, avoiding disruptions in manufacturing processes.
- Cost Optimization and Budgeting:
- Work towards cost optimization strategies without compromising on quality.
- Develop and manage budgets for Raw Materials procurement, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Risk Management and Problem Resolution:
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies.
- Address any supply chain disruptions promptly and effectively to minimize impact on production schedules.
- Driving development and implementation of processes to identify, monitor and mitigate risks within the area of responsibility (i.e. reduction of single sources);
- Drive process development with regards to standardization, efficiency, automation, and digitalization wherever applicable.
Requirements :
- Strong understanding of technical specifications and materials used in cable manufacturing.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in supplier relationship management and vendor development.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to optimize procurement processes.
- Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and procurement software preferably in SAP.
Required Qualification: - B.E/B.Tech - Chemical/Polymer/CIPET
Salary :- Upto 12.00 LPA
